I have updated the link to one that works.

What do you think of the English translations by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, Thomas Cleary and T.B. Irving? They all employ modern English that is easy to read and understand.

    1. Translation of the Quran is done with much care, lest the meaning should change, whether it is intended or not. I don’t know about the translations by Thomas Cleary or TB Irving, but the one by Waheeduddin Khan is a disaster; it has a lot of errors. He believes that the meaning of the Quran, its explanation should change with time, but it is not true. The Quran has the same message that it had during the time of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

To avoid confusion and misguidance, it is recommended to follow ONLY those translations that come from authentic and approved sources, such as the one by Muhsin Khan and one by Pitckal.
